It’s yoga festival season! Get ready for new experiences, being in nature, meeting new people and a LOT of time on the mat! We’ve put together your essential survival guide to help you make the most out of this fun season.

Comfort
You’ll want to stay comfortable during meditation sessions or talks. Sometimes sitting on the grass just isn’t enough. We recommend bringing an om meditation cushion or blanket to sit on, and a cozy scarf or wrap to keep you warm when meditating or in savasana.

Snacks
Bring snacks! Healthy, filling, transportable snacks like trail mix or protein bars will help keep your energy up between yoga classes, outdoor activities and social time.

Hydration
You’ll be moving around a LOT, whether you’re exploring your gorgeous festival location, taking a hike or participating in a yoga class, you’re going to need to stay hydrated. Bring a reusable water bottle to keep with you all weekend long!

Get Into Nature
Festivals are a lot of fun, but they can also overwhelm the nervous system with new experiences and crowds of people. Carve out some time to get quiet in nature, whether that be for a walk or a solo meditation, to get grounded and reset for the day.

Sun Protection
If you’ll be outside for most of the day, make sure to bring a scarf, hat or sunglasses to protect yourself from the heat! Savasana is NOT the time for sunbathing, and no one wants to do acroyoga with a sunburn.

Roll it Out
After so many yoga classes in a row our bodies can get tender and sore and that last afternoon can be tough to push through. Set yourself up for success and pack a small massage ball to roll out overused and tight muscles before and after classes.

Memories
Leave your phone in your bag, or even better, at home and bring a disposable camera or polaroid! Your memories will be immortalized, and you won’t be tempted to spend the entire weekend on Instagram (save that for after)! And don't forget to bring a journal to your yoga classes—you never know when inspiration might strike.
